Bre Jefferson is a Regional Election Administration Director on the EPIC team.

Before joining ELG, her career spanned almost a decade in political engagement and legislative affairs, marked by influential roles within Washington State's political landscape. Her tenure includes working in both chambers of the Washington State Legislature, serving as the Executive Legislative Assistant to the Speaker of the House, and having a pivotal role in the Senate working for the Senate Democratic Caucus. Her work at the legislature encompassed working on vital legislation, including the Native American Voting Rights Act, same-day voter registration, pre-registration for 17-year-olds, and automatic voter registration. Her passion for justice and equality led her to serve in the Washington State Attorney General's Office, where the Governor appointed her to lead a statewide task force focused on reforming Washington's hate crime laws.

A proud graduate of Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy, Bre earned her master's degree with distinction, recognized as both a National Urban Fellow and a McCourt Leadership Fellow. During her studies, Bre undertook a residency at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a Social Science Analyst in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, where she contributed to published research on improving the ways federal agencies engage with communities of color.
