ELG Managing Partner Hannah Eaves Named to Emerging Women Leaders in Law

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Elias Law Group Managing Partner Hannah Eaves has been named to DCA Live’s 2023 list of Emerging Women Leaders in Law, which recognizes “great women attorneys in the Washington region who are emerging as leaders within their firms and the broader DC legal community.”

As Managing Partner, Hannah crafted the firm’s organizational design and ensured a successful launch. In less than two years, Hannah built the nation’s largest law firm dedicated to representing Democrats and progressive organizations, with over 75 attorneys and 50 professional staff supporting nearly 1,000 clients. Now Hannah oversees all ELG operations and supports all ELG personnel in pursuit of the firm’s mission to help Democrats win, citizens vote, and progressives make change. With a dedicated and inventive leadership style, she supervises a large team of legal professionals and cultivates a culture of mutual respect among employees.

Prior to her career at ELG, Hannah spent over a decade on active duty as a lawyer (a JAG) in the United States Navy. Her postings stretched from Japan to Hawaii to the Pentagon. Throughout her time on active duty, Hannah represented clients as a criminal defense and legal aid attorney, served as a prosecutor, advised on employment law matters, and supervised a compliance and ethics portfolio. In 2017, Hannah assumed the role of International and Operational Law Chief for the United States Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, Oahu. She spent her final year of military service managing the JAGs’ diversity and inclusion policy.

Hannah received her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where she played lacrosse on two NCAA Division I championship teams. Prior to law school, Hannah spent two years teaching United States History at the Bronx Academy of Letters in New York City. Hannah now works out of Washington, D.C.
