Gavin Palmer is a Staff Attorney at Elias Law Group. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s conflict vetting process, assisting the COO in managing the firm’s business operations, and providing legal support to the Litigation and Political Law practice groups.
Prior to joining ELG, Gavin clerked for the Honorable Amy Totenberg and the Honorable Eleanor L. Ross of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He previously worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Solicitor General, the Civil Rights Section, and the Equity Section at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. He also worked as a Voter Protection Fellow for the Virginia Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign after graduating from law school.
Gavin received his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Executive Editor of The Georgetown Law Journal. During law school, Gavin worked as an Elections and Campaign Finance Legal Clerk at the National Conference of State Legislatures and as an Enforcement Intern at the Federal Election Commission. Before law school, he worked on campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels and served as a Legislative Aide at the Colorado State House. Gavin received his B.A. from Oberlin College with High Honors in Politics.
He is based out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
