Elena Rodriguez Armenta is an associate in the Litigation practice. She and her colleagues work to protect voting rights in courts across the country.
Ms. Rodriguez Armenta has significant trial experience in both state and federal courts. She is experienced in appellate briefing, direct and cross examinations, and oral argument. Ms. Rodriguez Armenta played key roles in two separate election contest trials following the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election, during which she represented Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs in the highest-profile post-election legal dispute following the 2022 midterm elections.
Prior to joining Elias Law Group, Ms. Rodriguez Armenta was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York working in investigations and commercial and civil litigation, where she maintained a robust pro bono practice involving immigrants’ rights and civil rights. She also has experience teaching English as a Second Language to recent immigrants. Previously, Ms. Rodriguez Armenta was a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Kiyo A. Matsumoto in the Eastern District of New York.
Ms. Rodriguez Armenta is a graduate of Stanford Law School, where she graduated with high pro bono distinction and received the Deborah L. Rhode Public Interest Award. Ms. Rodriguez Armenta holds a B.A. in Romance Languages with honors from New York University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
